Simona Ahrnstedt was born in Prague 1967. Her parents fled from russian tanks with baby-Simona 1968, through Europe, via Vienna and eventually ended up in Stockholm; the beautiful capitol of Sweden.

Her parents were very cultural people, her mom had studied art before she went to medical school; her dad studied film at the Swedish Film Institute.

Simona on the other hand loved everything romantic. As an adult she studied psychology in Uppsala and to improve her english she borrowed books from a friend by an author she had never heard of: Judith McNaught.

Simona had always wanted to write, but never knew what. One day everything just clicked into place – she was of course going to write what she loved most to read: a romance novel. The very first Swedish romance novel ever.

Today she is a licensed psychologist, a trained cognitive behavioral therapist, and a scandinavian bestselling romance author.

She has studied film, law, czech, german and filosophy and also worked several years as a clinical psychologist before she switched to full time writing; thereby becoming Sweden´s first romance writer.

In the last couple of years Simona has pioneered the new wave of Swedish romance. As her novels have climbed bestseller lists, she has become a spokesperson for the genre and for books by women, for women, and about women.

After publishing three historical romances, Simona embarked on a new adventure. She launched her first contemporary novel, En enda natt (ALL IN) in 2014, a huge success and recieved a starred review in Publisher´s Weekly.

It was followed by En enda hemlighet (FALLING) in 2015.

And in 2016 the final installment, En enda risk, (RISKING IT ALL) was released in Sweden.

Her books has been sold in multiple languages as well as audio format.

Simona lives outside of Stockholm, Sweden, with her two well-behaved teenagers and two very loud siamese cats.

Simona is an avid feminist, a passionate cheese lover and a serious netflixer.
